Oh, humans. Who threw a chair in the water and thought it would disappear?

It has been unseasonably warm this week so I decided to go down to the creek behind my house to pick up some trash and see if I could glean some goodies to use in the studio from the creek bed. I picked up a lot of trash but I couldn’t budge this chair. It was too big and filled with rocks and silt and leaves so it weighed a ton. It was way too much for me to drag out of the water on my own to throw away properly so I had to leave it sitting there on the rocks. We are expecting rain next week. I can’t help but wonder if it will be carried away by the water and where it will end up. There must be a graveyard for all of the basketballs and burner cell phones and plastic trash –and chairs downstream somewhere…
I came home with a bucket of smaller stuff. I found glass shards and plastic and aluminum bits and bobs and some wire. I even found some pretty pieces of tile and part of a mirror. I brought them home and scrubbed them clean. I have gathered up my needles and thread, wire and pliers and I am about to dive into making some new counter spell assemblage pieces. I love gathering the weird stuff I find and putting it together in new ways and imbuing them with all sorts of good thoughts. It’s been a while but with everything that’s going on in our crazy country right now, I’m feeling the need for some good thoughts counter magic.
Okay. You think some positive thoughts today too and breathe.
